About me

Hey, My name’s Brian. I am a former insurance auto damage estimator. Well, technically the job title was “auto damage appraiser”, but it really doesn’t click with people as well as damage estimator, yah know?

Anyway, I am currently getting a degree in Management Information Systems (Basically the tech degree for business majors) and Finance (this needs no explanation, I guess) from the University of Houston, GO COOGS! I am currently a active member of the Management Information Systems student organization, MISSO, as well as two major Computer science student organizations at UH, CougarCS and CodeCOOGs, the former because I had worked with several of their members during a hackathon and thought they were cool so I decided to join up, and the latter I was dragged in voluntarily by one of the officers because I knew how to set up a specific type of discord bot.

I am currently specializing in data visualization for my MIS portion of my schooling and am working with analysis tools/programming languages such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Python, and a bit of R. I am also pursuing a double major in Finance because due to class scheduling my graduation time has been pushed from Fall 2025 to Spring 2026 and I decided “Well might as well make some use of my extra time…”. I’m also obtaining a minor in entrepreneurship, because I had basically completed 90 percent of the requirements inadvertently through choosing interesting electives.

Professionally I am almost supernaturally efficient at my work, I would usually complete damage estimating assignments in almost less than a quarter of the time of my peers (usually less than 1 1/2 day turnaround vs 6 days for other estimators.). I even got a system in place to write my reports and damage estimates so I could get a days worth of them done in less than 30 minutes, which would take me roughly an hour and a half if I wasn’t using the system.

All in all I’m pretty good at whatever I put my mind to, and any company that takes an interest in me would not be disappointed in what I can do!
